Present: Chairman Laberee, Commissioners Lindstrom, Christensen, Andrus,
and Weatherly; Council Liaaison Gagne; and Deputy Clerk Niccum
Commissioners Vogel and Wilson were not present but were not counted
absent because of meeting circumstances.
FREEMAN PARK - NORTH BALL FIELD - CUT HILL
The original purpose of this meeting was that some of the Park Commissioners
were asked to meet with Public Works Director Zdrazil at the park to see if
they approved of some work that he proposed. Zdrazil and Haun felt that an
area between the infiled and the outfield should be lowered and pushed back.
This would require grading off the turf and reseeding.
Christensen moved, Lindstrom seconded, to inform the Council that the
Park Commissioners present looked at the proposed grading change recommended
andand agree with the recommendation. Motion carried - 5/0.
ESTIMATE - FREEMAN PARK BALLFIELDS FENCES
• The Park Commission asked Sue to talk to Haun to see if he could prepare
information on the ballfields and get a cost estimate, and to ask him
what he would charge to prepare the specs and oversee the fencing job.
RAILROAD CORRIDOR ROCK
Gagne informed the Commission that they can put rock on the Railroad
Corridor but if the County wants it for a transit system they will take
it. Don is getting a cost estimate on 3/4 "- limestone.
CATHCART PARK
The Commission also visited Cathcart Park where they discussed the
relocation of the ballfield, the road along the south property line, and
the tennis court.
ADJOURNMENT
Lindstrom moved, Laberee seconded, to adjourn at 8:30 PM. Motion carried
unanimously.
