A special meeting of the Shorewood Plaxming Comrnission was

held on WEdnesday evening, April 6, at the Mirulewashta School at
7:30 P. M. All members of the Coramission weTe present with the
exception of Mr. V11lliam Jessup. Mr. J. B. Janvrin of the Council
was also absent.
Mr. Borgen read a letter from Mr. E. C. Bather, Jr. of E. C.
Bather & Associates', which he requestai that the Secretary send
on to Mrs. \Viltsey, Village Clerk, together with an enclosai
brochur e.
Mr. Sherman :Hasbrouck, our Planning Consultant, went over ",nth
the Inembers of the Plan..Tling Cornntlssion, "Planning Report. tl of the
Shorewood Planning COllliuission.
:Mr. Hasbrouck suggested that we meet with Mr. Frank Kelly,
Village Attorney, on Wainesday April 27th, our regular meeting,
at which time, we will go over the proposai zoning regulations.

Commission was held Walnesday evening, April 27, at the
Mirmewashta School at 7: 30 pm. All member s wer e pr esent wi th
the exception of ~. Clyborne and :Mr. Freyermuth. Mr. Frank
Kelly, om Village Attorney, was also PI' esset, as was Mr.
J. B. Janvrin, member of the Village COtIDcil.
Together with Mr. Sherman Hasbrouck, our Planning Con-
sultant, the Pla.'1Iling Commission went over part of the copy
of our propose1 zoning regulations 'with discussion as to
proposed changes. Mr. Hasbroucl{ corrunentai that our zom.ing
. problems were relatively simple compared to other communities
who have business and industry zoning.

Wednesday, May 4, 1160, for a speoial meeting
with Mr. Sherman Hasbrouok to oomplete goiRg
over the first draft of the Zoning .egulations.
There were only three members there including
Mr. Olyborne"'Kr. rreyermuth.and Mr. Jessup.
Mr. Hasbrouok was to redraft the loning
aegulations with the ohanges euggested and
submit same to the Village Attorney, Mr. Xelley,
to be written up in legal form for the n..

May 25 at the Minnewa.shta. School. Commission members, Bean,
Clyborne, Borgen, Jessup and Petterson were present. Mr. Janvrin
of the Shorewood Village Council was also present.
Mr. Len J. SChrempp of Victoria, Minnesota appeaaxoo before
the Plarming Cormnission with a request for subd.ivision of Tract C
Lot 137, of Auditors Sub-Division No. 120, with the view of
building tn homes on approxirna;t ely 61, 250 sq. ft. Inasmuch as
this request does not meet with the minimum requirement of 40,000
square feet, it is recommended that the Village Council deny the
request.

regular monthly meeting. Members present were Cha.i.rman Jessup,
Borgen, Bliss, Freyermuth, and Mrs. Ray Petterson, Secretaxy.
The first order of business WaS a re1(Uest by Mr. Jack
Yarwood, representing:Mr. G.A. Klatfky, formerly of Birch Bluff
Rt. 1, :EXcelsior, for permission to replat 34' of Lot 17, together
wi th the 66' of Lot 18, making a lot With the total frontage of
100' feet on Birch Bluff. The Planning Comrnission in a four to
one vote recommends this request to the Village Council.

The regular monthly meeting of the Shorewood Planning
Commission was held on Wednesday evening, Oct. 28~<<>at
7:30 P. M. at the MinneVfSashta School. All members
of the commission were present.
The first business to be heard was that of a. request from
Mr. Ed. Crepeau asking ap'pr~val to add another building
on his property. The Planning Commission agreed that they
would request Mr. Crepeau to appear before the Planning
Commission with a. proposal as to use and type of building,
ete.
Mr. Kelly submitted a proposed plat of a. subdivision. After
consideration, the Planning Commission recommended that the
porposed plat be revised to merge the two propsed 100'
frontage lots into one lot.
Mr. Robert Bliss submitted several ileel-chosen articles for
our protfolio on the subjects of "big-lot" zoning, and new
layouts for sub-divisions.
Mr. Jessup then turned the meeting over to Mr. Sherman
HasbiDouck. Mr. Hasbrouck showed many a.EB: interesting and
informative slides on good and bad planning with regard to
zoning and Sllb-division planning.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

The Shorenod Planning Commission met on Wednesday evening,
December 9, 7:30 P. M. a.t the Minnewashta School. All manbers,
wi th the exception of :Mr. Freyermuth, were present.
The first business to be taken care of was that of Mr. Ei
Or epeau, who a;ppeax 00. in per son. :Mr. Or epeau showed us hi s
plans for a proposai addition to his property and explained
the use to which it would be put, which would be welding
eqUipnent and. its use. He also stated that the construction
of this new addition would be of wooden frame with asbestos
hardboard exterior, and. that his present building would be
re-finished on the exterior to conform with the new building.
After hearing Mr. Crepeatl1 the Com.rnission agreoo. to table
this matter until the nex1i m.eeting.
Mr. LeVi Haganan of Cross Lake, Minnesota, re-submitted proposal
for g.. re~platting division of Lot 132, Auditor's sub-division
No. 120l into 3 lots as shown, the S. W. Corner to be sold to
the paJ:"GY owning the S. E. Corner, the remaining property to be
divida:l into 2 lots approximately 38,500 sq. ft. each. The
Planning Commission members approved recommendation of this
request to the Village Council.
Mr. Walter Bean reporta:l that the Commission on Highway 7 would
meet on December 17 at the Minnetonka High Scbhol. .n It was
suggesta:l tha..t a member of the Dlanning Commission be present.
Mr. Jessup, Cba&rman of the Planning Commission, then turnEd the
meeting over to Mr. Sherman Hasbrouck our planning consultant.
Mr. Hasbrouck gave each member a sampie "l\feighborhood Planning
Guidelf to peruse which was quite informative and interesting.
Ml'. Hasbrouck then showed tiBe Commission members a "First Brueh"
map of Shorewood Village shoWing possible location and use of
roads, recrea.tional centers, schools, etc. . This was followa:l
by a question and genera.l discussion period of time.
