Give your Valentine an experience

Everyone has enough stuff. Reconsider gift giving in 2020
Landfills, burners and even to reduce waste and increase time
recycling carts are full of the
results from gifting "stuff'. For
your valentine this year, consider
creative experiences. A family
room picnic and movie, going
to a special event or theater
performance, even high school
sporting events can be a fun
evening out made special with
creativity.
Save water, save money:
Start with bathrooms
Residents of Shorewood who
are on city water can save
money by conserving water in the
home. Bathrooms are by far the
largest water users in the home,
accounting for more than half of all
the waterthat families use indoors.
To help home owners get started,
the city will offer rebates to
municipal water customers who
purchase WaterSense toilets.
Rebates are available through a
grant received from Metropolitan
Council and the Clean Water
Legacy Amendment. Complete
details will be in the March
Shore Report and on the city
website
