A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH MNDOT FOR STATE TRUNK
HIGHWAY 7 & OLD MARKET ROAD INTERSECTION SIGNAL IMPOVEMENT
PROJECT, CITY PROJECT 21-06
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is making construction
improvements on the Trunk Highway 7 corridor through portions of Shorewood,
Deephaven, and Minnetonka in 2021; and
WHEREAS, the City is responsible for maintenance of Old Market Road which
intersects with State Highway 7, and the City would like to see the replacement of the
signal system at this intersection; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation is the lead agency for the
overall project and is completing the design and construction administration; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SHOREWOOD, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS:
The City of Shorewood enter into MnDOT Agreement No. 1046300 with the State of
Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes:
To provide for payment by the City to the State of the City's share of the costs of the
traffic control, signal construction, and other associated construction to be performed
upon, along, and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 7 at Old Market Road within the
corporate City limits under State Project No. 2706-239 (7=012).
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to
execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
