RESOLUTION 21-051
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR THE 2021 MILL & OVERLAY PROJECT, 20-08; AND
SWEETWATER CURVE WATERMAIN REPAIR PROJECT, 20-11
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2021 Mill & Over Project and
Sweetwater Curve Watermain Repair Project, bids were received on May 4, 2021
opened and tabulated according to law, with the following bids received and complying
with the advertisement:
GMH Asphalt
$1,776,383,63
Valley Paving
$1,970,734.92
Bituminous Roadways
$1976,700.41
Wm Mueller & Sons
$2,089,026.00
WHEREAS, GMH Asphalt is the lowest responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, GMH Asphalt is a responsible and responsive contractor, that has
completed projects of similar size and scope successfully; and
NOW THEREFORE, IT RESOLVED: by the City Council of the City of Shorewood
hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with GMH Asphalt based on the
lowest bid amount in the name of the City of Shorewood for the 2021 Mill & Overlay
Project and the Sweetwater Curve Watermain Repair Project according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 10t" day of May,
2021.
