STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 5520 GRANT LORENZ ROAD
WHEREAS, the property located at 5520 Grant Lorenz (Property) is identified on the
Minnehaha Creek Watershed Wetland Inventory map as a wetland which diminishes the
possibility for any residential development of the property; and,
WHEREAS, the Property's location allows the city options to provide stormwater
treatment for the Grant Lorenz drainage channel as well as future street projects on
Noble Road, Wild Rose Lane, and in the general area; and,
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a tentative agreement to purchase the Property,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Shorewood City Council:
1. Finds that this purchase is in the best interest of the city to effectively assist with
ongoing and future storm water needs of this area.
2. Approves the purchase agreement for the property located at 5520 Grant Lorenz
Road.
3. Authorizes Mayor Jennifer Labadie and City Clerk Sandie Thone to sign any
documents and undertake those steps necessary to complete the purchase of
the property.
