::;ECTION 1. SUibse~tion 5 of
SEiCTJ;ON 7 of An Ordinance Es-
tabli~hing Harbor Limi,ts and Pro-
hibiting Nuis,ances Therein, being
Ordiinance No. 12 of this Village,
is hereby amended, to read as, fo~-
lows:
Subsection 5. The failure to
equip and to operate a boat, ves-
sel or wrutercrafit in aClCordance
wi,th ,the provisions of Chapter 361
of Minnesota Statutes, as amend-
ed, which statutes are hereby
adioJ;l1ted and incorporwted herein
and made a part hereof by refer-
ence, as fully as :if selt fOrth here-
in and made a part hereof by ref-
erence, as fully as if set forth
in. Providoo, however,that these
additi<onal requirements shall be
met by aU ownel1S' and operators
of watereraft within the harbor
limits established herein, namely:
a) All watercraft in use or un-
derway between sunset and sun-
rise shall be equipped with and
have in operation red and green
running Hghts in the forward sec-
tion of the boat, and a white light
at the stern or on ,the supersrQuc-
tUJ.1e, which whitte light shaill be
vilSihle on a dark night with clear
a limosphere for a di,stance of two
miles from any directi,on. Provid-
ed however, that motor powered
watercraft under 16 feet in over-
all length may use pol'itable lights,
which mUls:t be clamped on the
water.::raft when in us.e; and, non-
powered watercmft may use a
p,ortable single white light which
is visible from any direction for
a distance of two miles on a dark
night with dear atmosphere.

light visible from any direction
fora distance of one mile, and
such light shall be lit from sun-
set to sunrise, except that a wa-
tercrailt anehored in a cove wi,thin
one hundred feet of shore and 200

and any watercraft anchored at a
dock or pier need ll()lt have the
white light lit.

ing rthere'to Subsection 12, read-
ing as fol~ows:
SUlbsection 12. Operating any
waJtercraft, automobile, vehicle or
powered propelled device on the
open water, or upon an ice covered
body of walter, in such a manner
as' to endanger life, limb or prop-
erty.
SECTION IV. Effective date.
This ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force from and af-
ter itts passage and publication.

REGULATION
The Village Coun'Cil of the Vil-
lage of Shorewood do amain:
SECTION 1. That Section No.
8 of Ordinance No. 19 be and
hereby is amended to read as fol-
lows:
Section 8. Subdivision 1. Any
dog that habitually worries, chases
or molests persons traveling peace-
ably on the public road is hereby
declared to be a public nuisance.
Subdivision 2. Any dog that
habitually runs onto the public
road within the village to chase,
bark at, or interfere with auto-
mobiles traveling upon the pu.blic
road is hereby declared to be a
public nuisance.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance
shall take effect from and after
its passage and pwbliic'ation ac-
cording to law.

The Cauncil 'Of the Village of

SEUrION 1.
It shall be unlawful far aIIlY
persan, firm or corporatian ta re-
mave, s:tare .or excavate rack, s'and,
gravel, dirt .or similar material
within the limits of the Village of
S'horewood, except ta the, extent
required in cannection with the
con!s'truction of a building for
which a building permit has been
iSlsued, without first having ob-
tained, . from the Village Council,
a permIt to do so.
SECTION 2.
An applicatian far such permit
shall be accompanied by a drawing
made by a registered surveyar or
other competent person showing
the locatian of the propiosed exca-
vation .or ,sto~age and slhall state
the amount of material which ils
ta he remaved, excavated or stored
and such other information as the
council may require fram time to
time. Applications shall be filed
with the Village Clerk and shall
be accompanied by a fee of $,10.00
payable to the village.
SECTION 3.
The Village Olerk shall refer
the application to the Planning
Commis!sion which commision shall
cansider the appliciatian at its: next
regular meeting, but nat earlieiI'
than 7 days. The pe,titianer or
repres;entative shall appe:ar before
the Planning Commis,sian in 'Order
to answer questions concerning
saidapplicatian. The Planning
Cammission shall investigate all
:I:1acts set out in the applicatian.

Oppartunity shall be given to any
per!son, firm .or carpo:r'atian 17.0 be
heard far .or against granting the
permit. After such investigatian
and hearing, the Planning Commis-
sian shall make its repart to the
Village Cam:ucil recammending or

said permit.
SIECTION 4.
The ViHage Cauncil shall, with-
in 60, days, after receiving the
report .of the Planning Cammis-
sian, grant or refuse ta grant in
its, discretian, the applicati'an far
the sraid permit.
SECTION 5.
The requiremenusl of this ordi-
nance slhall nat apply ta; such ex-
eavatians or starage of rock, s'and,
gravel, dirt .or similar material
as may be required by s'bate, coun-
ty or village authorities in cannec-
tion with canstruction or mainten-
ance .of roads and highways with-
in the Village! of Sharewood.
SEamON 6.
Any perSian, firm or corporation
whJQ; vialates .or :I:1ails ta camply
with any .of the pravilsians .of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and, upon convictian
thereaf, shall be punished by a
fine of not mare than $100.00 or
by impris'anment far not ta ex-
ceed 90 days for elach 'Offense.

sltitute a seplarate affens,e.
SECTION 7.
This .ordinance shall take effect
