PAUL, MINNESOTA • 55155 December 2, 1974 C. L. Wetzler ORR-Schelen-Mayeron 2021 East Hennepin Avenue ' Minneapolis, Mn 55413 Dear Sir: A Natural ordinary high water determination (N.O.H.W.) has not been made for Minnetonka Lake. The department has considered the crest of the outlet dam, elevation 929.4±, SLD 1929 as the limit of our jurisdiction. It is felt 11 however, that our jurisdiction should be to a higher elevation. Your request for "established high water levels" most probable means recorded high water level which is 930.6 recorded in 1951. The N.O.H.W. for Christmas Lake established by Commissioner's order dated 7-13-44 is at elevation 932.76; no high water records are available, however the USGS 1905 quadrangle shows an elevation of 935 which would be 934.2±, SLD 1929. The N.O.H.W. level on Galpin Lake established by Commissioner's order dated 9-26-41 is 943.26 with the 1905 quadrangle showing a level of 946 or approximately 945.2 SLD 1929. A N.O.H.W. has not been established for Virginia Lake, however recent field investigations indicate an O.H.W. of 929.8 and give a high water mark at 929.1. We have no information in our files pertaining to Silver Lake. You may check with the watershed district for additional information. Yours very ,t ly, ene H.
