A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE 601 REGARDING CITY CODE ORDINANCE
AMENDMENTS RELATED TO REZONING
242SO SMITHTOWN ROAD FROM R-2A TO PUD
WHEREAS, at a duly called meeting on August 28, 2023, the City Council of the City of
Shorewood adopted Ordinance No. 601 entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1201.09
SUBD 2 OF THE SHOREWOOD ZONING CODE —THE SHOREWOOD ZONING MAP
(LAKE PARK VILLAS PUD); and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a lengthy ordinance amending City Code Chapter 1201.09
Subd. 2 (the Shorewood Zoning Map) which contains the location and boundaries established by
City code; and
WHEREAS, the ordinance may be summarized as "An ordinance approving an amendment of the
zoning map from R-2A to PUD (Planned Unit Development) for the Lake Park Villas PUD and
subdivision on property located at 24250 Smithtown Lane, Shorewood, MN."; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this summary is to inform the public of the intent and effect of the
ordinance but to publish only a summary of the ordinance with the full ordinance being on file in
the office of the City Clerk during regular office hours and available on the city's website.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SHOREWOOD:
1. The City Council finds that the above title and summary of Ordinance No. 601 clearly
informs the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish Ordinance No. 601 by title and summary, pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.191, Subdivision 4. Such summary is to be
substantially the same as the attached ordinance.
3. A full copy of the Ordinance is available at Shorewood City Hall and on the city's
website.
