RESOLUTION 23-100
RESOLUTION OF SUUPORT FOR THE MILL STREET TRAIL CORRIDOR
AND WATERMAIN PROJECT
WHEREAS, The City of Shorewood recognizes the importance of providing a trail adjacent to a
heavy -traveled roadway (Mill Street) and for providing a watermain in an area where the
homeowners all have private wells and are without access to municipal water; and
WHEREAS, there is a present need for both the trail and the watermain both for the adjacent
residents as well as other neighbors that live in the area; and
WHEREAS, the construction of both the trail and watermain would maintain the quality public
services; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature is presently considering appropriating funds for the
construction of the trail and watermain.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD,
MINNESOTA hereby supports the construction of the Mill Street trail corridor and watermain
project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE City Council of the City of Shorewood supports the
pending state legislation to appropriate funding for the construction of the Mill Street trail
corridor and watermain project.
