I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting City Administrator of the City of
Shorewood, Minnesota, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that I have compared the attached and
foregoing extract of minutes with the original thereof on file in my office, and that the same is a
full, true and complete transcript of the minutes of a meeting of the City Council, duly called and
held on the date therein indicated, insofar as such minutes relate to calling a public hearing on a
street reconstruction plan and the issuance of general obligation street reconstruction bonds.

CITY OF SHOREWOOD
COUNTY OF HENNEPIN
STATE OF MINNESOTA
A RESOLUTION ASSESSING UNPAID SPECIAL SERVICE CHARGES FOR
5440 WEDGEWOOD DRIVE
WHEREAS The City of Shorewood has a residential rental housing inspection
program that requires the property owner to maintain their rental property
in a safe and habitable condition; and,
WHEREAS The owners of the property at 5440 Wedgewood Drive, legally described
as Lot 2, Block 1 Wild Duck Second Addition, have not been responsive to
the city's request for information and required inspections; and,
WHEREAS Pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the council has
met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed
assessment for the special service charges at 5440 Wedgewood Drive,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SHOREWOOD,
MINNESOTA:
1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against
the land named therein.
2. Such assessment shall be payable in a single installment to be payable on or
before the first Monday in January, 2021 and bear the interest rate of five (5.0)
percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution.
To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the
date of this Resolution until December 31, 2020.
3. The property owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to
certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay the whole of the
assessment on such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment, to
the city finance director, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire
assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this resolution; and the
owner may, at any time, thereafter, pay to the city finance director the entire
amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December
31 of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made
before November 15 or interest will be charged through December 31 of the next
succeeding year.
4. The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the
county auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the county. Such
assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other
municipal taxes.
Adopted by the council this 13th day of April, 2020.
