RESOLUTION 24-059
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COST SHARE AND MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH
CHANHASSEN FOR LILAC LANE; CITY PROJECT 24-01
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood awarded the 2024 Mill & Over Project to Northwest Asphalt
in the amount of $889,594.36, and
WHEREAS, Lilac Lane is include in the project and shares a municipal boundary with
Chanhassen and has agreed to pay for fifty percent of the roadway costs, and sewer and water
costs will be split according to owner; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chanhassen cost share of Lilac Lane is estimated to be $32,102.14
(approx. 50% of $64,204.28) and includes costs for construction, design and administration; and
WHEREAS, the short term and long term maintenance responsibilities are not currently
memorialized and both Shorewood and Chanhassen would like to formalize the maintenance as
stated in a joint powers agreement; and
NOW THEREFORE, IT RESOLVED: by the City Council of the City of Shorewood hereby approve
and enter into a cost share and maintenance agreement with the City of Chanhassen for the
2024 Mill & Overlay project.
