CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING COUNCIL CHAMBERS

MINUTES
1. CONVENE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING
Mayor Labadie called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
A. Roll Call
Present. Mayor Labadie; Councilmembers Callies, Maddy, Sanschagrin, and Zerby; and
City Administrator Nevinski
Absent: None
B. Review Agenda
Sanschagrin moved, Maddy seconded, approving the agenda as presented. Motion passed
5/0.
2. INTERVIEW FOR LMCC — Eric Magistad
Eric Magistad shared information about his background, education, experience, and interest in
serving as the City's representative on the LMCC.
The Council explained the LMCC's joint powers agreement and reviewed the purpose of
overseeing the franchise agreement with the cable operator as well as promoting awareness and
use of community television. The Council also asked Mr. Magistad questions about the
perspective he would bring to the LMCC, how his background and experience may be able to
benefit the LMCC, and the trend towards `cutting the cord.'
City Administrator Nevinski stated that the Council will consider this appointment later tonight as
part of their regular agenda. He noted that if Mr. Magistad was unable to stay for that meeting,
someone from the City would inform him of their decision tomorrow.

of August 26, 2024, at 6:44 P.M. Motion passed 5/0.
