RESOLUTION 24-075
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SHOREWOOD EMPLOYEE
PERSONNEL POLICY/EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK UPDATES
WHEREAS, the city provides an employee personnel policy to all city employees; and
WHEREAS, staff has completed union negotiations with American Federation of State, County,
and Municipal Employees (ASFCME) Council 5, Local 224, AFL-CIO and has proposed an
agreement to be approved by the city council; and
WHEREAS, the city finds it a fair practice to align and apply employee practices, policies, and
benefits across the board to all employees regardless of union status and the following
proposal will align the vacation accrual policy and the4 cell phone reimbursement for union and
non -union staff alike.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood that the
following City of Shorewood Personnel Policy updates are approved. The stricken language is
included with a `tFikethFG gl" and the proposed language in red.
G. Vacation Accrual
Regular full-time employees shall accrue vacation on the following basis:
Length of Service
Start through § 3 years of service
Beginning of "th year (&1' 3rd anniversary)
through 18 years:
Beginning of 4Qt4 9th year (111181h anniversary)
through 44315 years:
Beginning of —29� 16th year (4-91 15th anniversary)

F. Allowance Payment
Vacation Accrual
W 4.615 hours per pay period worked;
4.215 days maximum per year
4-619 6.153 hours per pay period worked;
4-5 20 days maximum per year
6 153 7.077 hours per pay period worked;
20 23 days maximum per year
7.692 hours per pay period worked;
25 days maximum per year
9.230 hours per pay period worked;
30 days maximum per year
Employees will be given reimbursement of $49-$35 per month to cover fees associated with the
cell phone use.
