RESOLUTION 24-109
A RESOLUTION TO PREPARE FINAL PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS FOR
2025 MILL & OVERLAY AND EUREKA ROAD PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 24-10, 23-01
WHEREAS, the current Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) identifies a mill & overlay project for
2025 on various streets throughout the city and includes improvements to Eureka Road, City
Projects 24-10, 23-01; and
WHEREAS, the city has had several discussion on the improvements related to Eureka Road and
has determined to complete a mill & overlay with limited addition of curb & gutter; and
WHEREAS, the mill & overlay in all areas will help to maintain and extend the longevity of the
roadway infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, preparing the final plans and specifications will allow for a more detailed evaluation
of the repairs necessary by allowing staff to gather topographic survey where need, inspect
catch basins and manholes for repairs, and complete the permitting process with various
agencies as needed; and
WHEREAS, the project will be funded through the combination of Street Reconstruction Fund,
Water Fund, Stormwater Management Fund, and Municipal State Aid Construction Fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD,
MINNESOTA hereby authorizes the preparation of Final Plans & Specifications for the 2025 Mill
& Overlay and Eureka Road project, City Projects 24-10 and 23-01.
Adopted by the City Council of Shorewood, Minnesota this 91" day of December 2024.
