A RESOLUTION APPROING THE PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 612 REGARDING
SACRED COMMUNITIES AND MICRO UNIT DWELLINGS
WHEREAS, at a duly called mee?ng on January 13, 2025, the City Council of the City of Shorewood
adopted Ordinance No. 612 en?tled “An Ordinance Approving an Amendment to Shorewood City Code
Chapter 1201 Rela?ve to Sacred Communi?es and Micro Unit Dwellings”; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a lengthy ordinance amending City Code Chapter 1201 (Zoning
Regula?ons) including but not limited to defini?ons and general provisions to be consistent with the
requirements of Minnesota State Statute § 327.30; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this summary is to inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance
and to public only a summary of the ordinance with the full ordinance being on file in the office of the
City Clerk during regular office hours and available on the City’s website.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNICL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD:
1. The City Council finds that the above ?tle and summary of Ordinance No. 612 clearly informs the
public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish Ordinance No. 612 by ?tle and summary, pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Sec?on 412.191, Subdivision 4. Such summary is to be substan?ally the
same as the a?ached ordinance.
3. A full copy of the ordinance is available at Shorewood City Hall and on the City’s website.
