RESOLUTION NO.04- 008
A RESOLUTION REDUCING CONTRACT RETAINAGE
FOR THE SMITHTOWN ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT,
CITY PROJECT NO.01-07, S.A.P. 216-101-03
WHEREAS, on June 24", 2003, the City of Shorewood entered into a contract for
construction with Midwest Asphalt Corporation for the Smithtown Road Reconstruction Project,
City Project No. 01-07; and
WHEREAS, Midwest Asphalt Corporation has substantially completed work outlined in
the contract for said project; and
WHEREAS, Midwest Asphalt has petitioned the City to reduce the contract retainage to
1.0 percent of the work completed; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reviewed said request and finds it to be in order.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Shorewood to reduce the
amount of retainage for the contract with Midwest Asphalt Corporation from five percent to one
percent.
