CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 04-069
APPLICATION FOR CONVEYANCE OF
TAX -FORFEITED LANDS FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES
WHEREAS, property located within the City of Shorewood bearing PID No. 25-117-23-
31-0034 is currently on the Hennepin County Property Tax Forfeited Land list and may be
subject to sale by auction; and
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood does find that there is a public need to use the
property bearing PID No. 25-117-23-31-0034.for drainage and wetland conservation purposes,
and such need requires that the property be transferred to the City of Shorewood to be used as
and for such public purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners is requested to remove from the
tax -forfeited land sale list, land bearing PID No. 25-117-23-31-0034, being a parcel of
approximately .1.77 acres, located within the borders of the City of Shorewood and described as:
"Outlot A, Waters Edge Fourth Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota."
2. That the City of Shorewood proposes to use the property for a public purpose, to wit:
drainage and conservation purposes.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith to the Hennepin
County Commissioners.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 9th
day of August, 2004.
