A RESOLUTION APPROVING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 398 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, on 8 September, 2003, the City Council of the City of Shorewood adopted
Ordinance No. 398 entitled "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 701 of the Shorewood City Code
Relating to Dogs; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has prepared a summary of Ordinance No. 398 as follows:
The purpose of this Ordinance is to state clearly that the public nuisances caused by dogs
may also be subject to civil legal procedures to abate nuisance conditions that exist on a
property. It also addresses the conditions under which noises by such animals may be
considered untimely.
A copy of the entire text of the Ordinance is available in the office of the City Administrator/
Clerk.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD:
• 1. The City Council finds that the above title and summary of Ordinance No. 398
clearly informs the public of intent and effect of the Ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish this Resolution, in lieu of publication of the
entire text of Ordinance No. 398 pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section
412.191, subdivision 4.
3. The City Administrator is directed to post a copy of the entire text of Ordinance
No. 398 at Shorewood City Hall, beginning 9 September, 2003, and ending 8
October, 2003.
