RESOLUTION NO. 03-057
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING
CONTRACT FOR THE SMITHTOWN ROAD
PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 01-12,
S.A.P. 216-101-03
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local improvements
designated as Smithtown Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project, Project No. S.A.P. 216-
101-03, bids were received, opened on June 11`h, 2003 and tabulated according to law,
and such tabulation is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Midwest Asphalt, Inc., is the
lowest bidder in compliance with the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Midwest Asphalt, Inc., in the name of
• the City of Shorewood, City Project No. 01-12, according to the plans and
specifications therefor approved by the City Council on file in the office of
the City Administrator/Clerk.
2. That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all the bidders the deposits made with their bids, except
for the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which
shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
