RESOLUTION NO. 03 -04a
• A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
BITUMINOUS SEAL COATING OF STREETS
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local improvements
designated as Bituminous Seal Coating of Streets for the Cities of Shorewood, Excelsior,
and Tonka Bay, Minnesota, City Project No. 03-02, bids were received, opened on May
21, 2003 and tabulated according to law, and such tabulation is attached hereto and made
a part hereof as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Pearson Bros., Inc. is the
lowest bidder in compliance with the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a joint contract with the Cities of Shorewood, Excelsior and Tonka
Bay, and the firm of Pearson Bros., Inc. in the name of the City of Shorewood, 2003
Bituminous Seal Coating of Streets, Project No. 03-02, according to the plans and
specifications therefore approved by the City Council on file in the office of the City
Administrator/Clerk.
2. That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except for the deposits of
the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until a contract
has been signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD
