RESOLUTION NO. 03 - 014
• A RESOLUTION APPROIVING OFF STREET
PEDESTRIAN SPACE ON SMITHTOWN ROAD
WHEREAS, The Park Commission and City Council have solicited public comment for
a pedestrian space along Smithtown Road from the Hennepin County Regional Rail Corridor
(LRT), west to the Victoria City limits; and
WHEREAS, the Park Commission, during its February 4th, 2003, meeting, made
recommendation to include a 5 foot wide concrete pedestrian space on the north side of
Smithtown Road from the LRT to the Victoria City boundary; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the City Engineer is hereby directed to cause an off-street pedestrian space to
be incorporated into the design of the Smithtown Road Pavement Rehabilitation
Project.
2. Said pedestrian space is to be located on the North side of Smithtown Road from
the LRT, west to the Victoria City boundary, and shall be 5.0 feet in width and
shall be constructed of concrete.
