A RESOLUTION APPROVING WORK ORDER 3
FOR THE TRUNKIDGHWAY 7 & 41 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT,
CITY PROJECT NO. 98-05, S.P. 1008-58 (T.H. 41=12), S.A.P. 206-010-04
WHEREAS, on July 23rd, 2001 the City of Shore wood entered into a contract for
construction with Hardrives, Inc. For the Trunk Highway 7 & 41 Reconstruction Project,
City Project No. 98-05; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has prepared
Supplemental Work Order 3, attached hereto as Exhibit A for additional work outside of
the original contract; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has reviewed said Supplemental Work Order 3
and found it to be necessary to complete the project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Shorewood to approve
Work Order Number 3 with Hardrives, Inc., that incorporates all labor, equipment and
services outlined for an increase in the Contract amount of $6,600.00, attached hereto as
Exhibit A.

the intersection of T.H. 7 and T.H. 41
In accordance with the terms of the contract, you are hereby authorized and
instructed to do the work described herein.
Work to be completed:
The Contractor shall provide all equipment, materials and labor necessary to
complete the items of work listed below which were not provided for in the
Contract Documents.
Item No. 1
Remove and dispose of two concrete light standard bases and backfill the holes
resulting from the removal of the bases. This work is necessary due to the
reconstruction of the ramp.
Item No. 2
Place 6 meters of 100 mm drain tile at the School Entrance, connected to the
~lace drain tile system and draining to new structure no. 5046B. This work is
~ssary because of the change in alignment of the north curb and gutter as
requested by the Minnetonka School District.
Item No. 3
Adjust the sanitary sewer manhole at T .H. 41 Station 15+316, 13m Rt. This
adjustment is necessary due to the reconstruction of T.H. 41 and is noted on the
public utility tabulations sheet of the Plans.
Item No. 4
Place two 6 m runs of 100 mm PE pipe, 3278, with Geotextile wrap 3733, Type I
capped on one end and draining into opposite sides of Structure Nos. 5007, 5008,
SOlS, and 5016. This added drainage will be placed at the request of the City
of Shorewood.
All work will be done in accordance with all applicable Special Provisions, the
Plan, Mn/DOT Standard Specifications, all municipal codes and as directed by the
Engineer.
Payment for this work will be on a Force Account basis in accordance with Mn/DOT
1904.
