A RESOLUTION ANNOUNCING SHOREWOOD'S INTENT TO ORGANIZE
REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICES
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 115A.94 provides for options relative to organizing
refuse collection services; and
WHEREAS, the Shorewood City Council desires to study the benefits and costs
associated with organized refuse collection; and
WHEREAS, after required notice, a public hearing was held by the City Council to
consider the matter on 27 August 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
The City of Shorewood hereby declares its intent to:
1. Commence the study period provided for in Minnesota Statutes 115A.94.
2. Direct the Shorewood Planning Commission to direct and coordinate those
• studies and hearings prescribed by Minnesota Statutes 11.5A.94 and submit its findings
and recommendations by 1 April 2002.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Shorewood this loth day of
September 2001.
