RESOLUTION NO. 00-097
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING
CONTRACT FOR FREEMAN PARK SEWER AND WATER PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 9905
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local improvements
designated as the Freeman Park Sewer and Water Project, City Project No. 9905, bids
were received, opened on September 27,2000 and tabulated according to law, and such
tabulation is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Thomas and Sons
Construction, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with the specifications;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the contract for said
improvement project includes the base bid and the bid alternate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and Acting City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Thomas and Sons Construction, Inc., in the name of
the City of Shorewood, Project No. 9905, according to the plans and specifications
therefor approved by the City Council on file in the office of the City Administrator/Clerk.
2. That the Acting City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except for the deposits of
the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until a contract
has been signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD
