RESOLUTION
WHEREAS the Village of Shorewood did in July, 1966, apply to the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for an interest free grant of
$33,780.00 to finance the cost of a survey report to plan for the
installation of a sanitary sewer system and sewage disposal facilities
for the Village of Shorewood, and
WHEREAS Senator Eugene J. McCarthy, Senator Walter F. Mondale and
Congressman Clark MacGregor were requested by Shorewood to assist the
village in processing the application, and
WHEREAS the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has
favorably acted upon the request for the grant and has authorised a
planning advance of $33,780.00 to finance the planning of a municipal
sewage system for the Village of Shorewood
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village
of Shorewood desires to publicly express its sincere appreciation to
Senator McCarthy, Senator Mondale and Congressman MacGregor for the help
and assistance they and their staffs gave to Shorewood in successfully
processing the application for the grant.

by Mayor Robert W. McDougall before the
League of Hennepin County Municipalities relative to the
structure of Metropolitan Government be and hereby is
adopted as a resolution of this Village Council, and,
further that the Mayor and Clerk be directed to communicate
the subject of said resolution to the Senator and Represen-
tative from this district in the State Legislature as well
as to the League of Lake Minnetonka Municipalities.

RESOLUTION
\vHEREAS, The Village of' Shorewood did enact Ordinance No.
11 regulating the subdivision of land in the Village of Shore-
wood, Minnesota, on August 9, 1956, and did cause a certified
copy of said Ordinance to be filed in the office of the Register
of Deeds, Hennepin County, Book 759 of Misc., Page 508, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 11 has been amended, in part,
by Ordinance No. 22 adopted by the Village of Shorewood on
October lL~, 1958, and did cause a certified copy of said Ordinance
to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds, Hennepin
County, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 11 and Ordinance No. 22 set
out certain minimum reqQirements to plat, replat, or transfer
residential property within the Village of Shorewood, and
1JHEREAS, the Village C01mc~l of the Village of Shore\vood
has determined that it is in the best interests of the public
that the requirements of said Ordinance No. 11 and Ordinance
No. 22 be waived in all particulars as the same may affect the
land described in Appendix A attached hereto and made a part
hereof by reference, it being intended that said land be con-
sidered as one lot, tract, or area in the contemplation of said
Ordinances.
NOW, THEREFOllE, the Village Council of the Village of
Shorewood, Minnesota, at a regular meeting of the Village Council,
held on the 13th day of February, 1967, does hereby
RESOLVE: That the requirements of Ordinance No. 11 and
Ordinance No. 22 of the Village of Shorewood shall be and are
waived as the same may apply to the land described heretofore;
that said land shall be considered as one lot, tract, or area
within the contemplation of Ordinance No. 11 and Ordinance No.
22 of said Village from and after da~e hereof.
The resolution described herein was unanimously adopted
by the Village Council of the Village of Shorewood, Minnesota.

tabulateq, and checked the bids received pursuant to the
published legal notice for bids on the remodeling and re-
equipment of the Shorewood Municipal Liquor Store and had
prepared a tabulation of the bids as follows:

Jack Chandler introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Shorewood, Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined and declared that
the lowest responsible bidder for the work and materials
necessary for remodeling and re-equipment of the Shorewood
Municipal Liquor Store is Carlson Store Fixtures Co. in the
total base contract price of $10,980.00, and which bid is
hereby accepted; that said bid is in all respects in accordance
with law and with the pUblished advertisement for bids and
with the plans and specifications heretofore approved by the
Council and now on file in the offices of the Village Clerk;
that alternate No. 1 and No. 2 of all bids received be re-
jected by the Village.
2. That the Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to make and execute a contract on behalf of the
Village with Carlson Store Fixtures Co. in accordance with the
terms of his base contract bid in the amount of $10,980.00,
when such bidder has furnished insurance and bond requirements
as required by law.
3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to return the bid bond of Display Fixtures.

Public Works Plan Preparation, consisting of an advance
in the sum of $33,780.00 to said Village from the United
States of America acting through the Secretary of Housing
and Urban Development, to aid the Village of Shorewood
in financing the cost of plan preparation consisiting
of preliminary planning for tile construction of a sanitary
trunk sewer system to serve the entire Village, including
a sewage treatment plant or such other facilities as may
be necessary tp provide adequate treatment for the effluent
of said sewer system; that said contract is dated February
27, 1967.

does hereby appoint Elsa I. Wiltsey as and for Deputy Clerk of
the Village of Shorewood to serve in the assence or disability
of the Clerk of the Village of Shorewood, and said Deputy shall

of the Village of Shorewood except that said Deputy shall not be a
member of the Village Council. That said Deputy Clerk shall

WHEREAS, pursua.nt to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 14,.08 and 145 .12,
provision has been made for a public heaJ~h nurs~~g district in that portion of
Hen..Tlepin COt1.nty outside tele Cit.y of I1L11.."'1eapolis, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such aut~ority such a publiC health nursing district
has been o:;:g&"'1izecl and has been in operation for several years, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed ns cessary to continue the operation of such nursing
district and to provide it with adequate funds for its proper operation
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVFBNING BODY OF
Shorewood

be included in the public health nursing district of Suburban Hennepin County,
organized on January 4, 1952: that it participate in the benefits thereof; and
that it agrees to support on an apportionment basis its pro rata share of the cost
of the administration of such district provided, however, that for the period of
January 1, 1968 through December 31, 1968, this cost shall not exceed 29t~ per
capita on the basis of the last official census.

BE IT RESOLVED, That the Contract heretofore submitted, signed and executed
by the Suburban Hennepin County Relief Board of the County of Hennepin for'and.
during the year 19 68 for the administration and supervision of poor relief in
the Village

be, and the same is hereby accepted,
approved, renewed and extended for and during the year 1968
with the same
force and effect as though said original Contract, above described, were redated
and resigned and executed as of the date hereof.

SEWER FACILITIES.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Village Council of the Village of Shorewood:
10 That APPENDUM NO.1 to the agreement for engineering
services between the Village of Shorewood, Minnesota, and Orr-
Schelen-Mayeron & Associates, Inc., relating to sanitary sewer
facilities is hereby approved..
