RESOLUTION NO.05- 083
A RESOLUTION SETTING THE 2006 PROPOSED GENERAL
FUND BUDGET AND APPROVING THE PROPOSED 2005
PROPERTY TAX LEVY, COLLECTIBLE IN 2006
WHEREAS, the City staff has presented to the City Council the proposed 2006 General Fund
Budget and the 2005 property tax levy collectible in 2006; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has met to review the proposed budget and property tax levy; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council must approve and certify its proposed 2006 budget and
preliminary property tax levy for the current year, collectible in 2006, to the County Auditor by
September 15 of each year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood that:
1. The 2006 Proposed General Fund budget is hereby set at $4,797,495.
2. The following sums be levied for the current year, collectible in 2006, upon taxable
property in the City of Shorewood, for the following purposes:
General Fund Levy $3,735,592
Special Levy 511,803
Total 2005 Levy, Collectible 2006: 4 247 395
3. That the City Clerk -Administrator is hereby instructed to transmit a certified copy of
this resolution to the County Auditor of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
