CITY OF SHOREWOOD RESOLUTION NO. 99- 078 A RESOLUTION SETTING TRUTH IN TAXATION PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED 2000 BUDGETS AND THE 1999 PROPERTY TAX LEVY COLLECTIBLE IN 2000 WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires local governments to hold public hearings on their proposed budgets and property tax levies, and to publish notice of said public hearing to achieve truth in taxation, and, WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Revenue has issued guidelines for local governments to follow in implementing truth in taxation requirements, and, WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to comply with such guidelines, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood that a public hearing on the proposed 2000 Municipal Budgets and the property tax levy for 1999, collectible in 2000, be held on Monday, December 6, 1999, at 7: 15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, and a continuation hearing, if necessary be held on Monday, December 13, 1999, at 7:15 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, at the City Hall, and that notice of such public hearing shall be published in accordance with Minnesota State Law and guidelines set forth by the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
