RESOLUTION NO. 98 - 076
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING
CONTRACT FOR BITUMINOUS OVERLAY OF STREETS
CITY PROJECT 98-03
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local improvements designated as
1998 Bituminous Overlay Project - City Project 98-03 for the City of Shorewood, bids were
received, opened on July 22, 1998 and tabulated according to law, and such tabulation is attached
hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that DMJ Corporation is the lowest
responsible bidder in compliance with the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a Contract with DMJ Corporation, in the name of the City of Shore wood for the
1998 Bituminous Overlay Project, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by
the City Council on file in the office of the City Kdministrator/Clerk.
2. That the City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith to all the bidders the deposits made with their bids, except for the deposits of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been
signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNClL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 10th
day of August, 1998.
