CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 97-72
RESOLUTION REQUESTING
MINNEHAHA CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT
TO DELAY CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION FOR PERMIT
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood has been informed that Evan Meline has made
application to the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) for a permit to construct a
single family dwelling at 5400 Eureka Road; and
WHEREAS, the MCWD has scheduled consideration of the matter for September 11,
1997; and
WHEREAS, the property which is the subject of the application is located within the
corporate limits of the City of Shorewood; and
WHEREAS, Shorewood has commissioned an engineering study dealing with
methods relating to the flood plain and wetland delineation as they relate to the property; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the outcome of such studies will be available within
approximately ten (10) days; and
WHEREAS, the results of given studies are believed to be relevant to the matters
under consideration by the MCWD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood that the MCWD is hereby requested, in the best interests of its orderly review of
the application, to defer action on the application until the engineering study has been
completed and is available for review by the MCWD.
