CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 97-66
A RESOLUTION PETITIONING HENNEPIN COUNTY
TO DESIGN AND INSTALL A TRAFFIC SIGNAL
AT THE INTERSECTION OF
C.S.A.H. 19 AND SMITHTOWN ROAD.
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has examined the traffic conditions at the
intersection of CSAH 19 and Smithtown Road; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has found in a preliminary manner, that said
intersection warrants the installation of a traffic control signal;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood, Minnesota:
1. The City of Shorewood hereby petitions Hennepin County to perform a
signal justification report, design, and construction of a traffic control
signal at the CSAH 19 / Smithtown Road intersection.

2. The City of Shorewood requests that Hennepin County reconsider the design
and installation of said traffic signal as part of Hennepin County's 1998 Capital
Improvement Program.
