RESOLUTION NO. 97-2Q.
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
ESTIMATES AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS ON
CITY PROJECT 95-19
SHADY ISLAND BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 96-63 adopted by the City Council July 8,
1996, Plans, Specifications and Estimates for the design phase of City Project 95-19 were
prepared.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood, Minnesota:
1. Plans, Specifications and Estimates were prepared by Orr-Schelen-
Mayeron & Associates, engineer for such improvement pursuant to Council
Resolution 95-19. Said plans, specifications and estimates are hereby
approved and shall be filed with the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of
such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks, shall specify the work to be
done, shall state that bids will be opened and considered by the Council at
10:30 a.m. on July 9, 1997, in the City Hall Council Chambers, and that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified
check payable to the Clerk for 5 percent of the amount of each bid.
