RESOLUTION 97- 23
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF FUNDS TO PURCHASE TWO FORD DUMP TRUCKS
WHEREAS, it is desirable to replace two 1987 Ford Dump Trucks within the Department of
Public Works; and
WHEREAS, the funds for such expenditures have been outlined in the equipment
replacement schedule attached as "Exhibit N'; and
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood recognizes Minnesota State Statute 471.59 Joint
Exercise of Powers to utilize the bid obtained by the Minnesota Department of Transportation on
March 19, 1996 attached as "Exhibit B"; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shore wood,
Minnesota that the Director of Public Works is authorized to enter into agreement for the purchase
two (2) Ford dump trucks as described in "Exhibit C".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works is directed to return to
the City Council for separate authorization for purchase of the remaining items to complete the dump
trucks. Specifically, this report is to contain quotes or bids for the dump box, hydraulic systems,
lighting systems, radio communication devices, sanders and snowplows.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 24th day
of March, 1997.
