CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 96- 59
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING
CONTRACT FOR THE
SOUTHSHORE SENIOR COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 96 -37 adopted May 1, 1996, an
advertisement for bids for the Southshore Senior Community Center, City Project No. 95-
20 was published, bids were received which were opened on June 6, 1996 at 2:00 p.m.,
and tabulated according to law (such tabulation is attached hereto and made a part hereof as
Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that GEH Construction, Inc.,
Watertown, MN, is the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and City Administrator /Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract with GEH Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of
• Shorewood, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the
City Council on file in the office of the City Administrator /Clerk, contingent
upon approval by the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District in accordance with
their ponding requirements.
2. That the City Administrator /Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return
forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except for the
deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder, which shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
