CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 95 - 89
A RESOLUTION MAKING APPOINTMENT
TO THE OFFICE OF CITY ENGINEER
WHEREAS, the 1995 General Fund Budget anticipates
the filling of a City Engineer position in the second half of
the year; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator and Engineer
Selection Committee have thoroughly tested and investigated
candidates for the position of City Engineer which is to
become City Engineer/Public Works Director upon the pending
retirement of the current Public Works Director; and
WHEREAS, employee selection by merit lS City
policy as established in the City Values Statement adopted in
1992 and reviewed by the City Council each year thereafter;
and
WHEREAS, said selection process has identified
Lawrence A. Brown as the most meritous candidate.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Lawrence A.
Brown be appointed City Engineer for the City of Shorewood.
Said position will include the responsibilities of the Public
Works Director upon the retirement of the current Director.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that said appointment
shall become effective on the first day of employment by the
City and upon Mr. Brown successfully completing all
requirements of the selection process as determined by the
City Administrator.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood ~his 11th day of September, 1995.
