WHEREAS, J. Brooks Hauser (Applicant) is the owner of real
property located at 27190 Edgewood Road in the City of Shorewood, legally
described as follows:
That part of Lot 15 lying southeasterly of a line parallel with
and distant 205.07 feet southeasterly is measured at right angles
from the northwesterly line of Lot 14 in its southwesterly
extension
and
WHEREAS, the Applicant has applied to the Ci ty for a Conditional
Use Permit for the construction of a garage measuring 28' x 36' and
containing 1008 square feet of area and a gazebo measuring 14.5' x 14.5'
and containing 174 square feet of area; and
WHEREAS, the Shorewood City Code requires a Conditional Use
Permit for the construction of an accessory building or combination of
accessory buildings containing an excess of 1000 square feet; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant presently has an existing garage
containing approximately 1000 square feet located on the property; and
WHEREAS, the application was reviewed by the Shorewood Planning
COmmission at a public hearing held on 4 August 1987.
IDV, 'IHERERJRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Ci ty of
Shorewood as follows:
FINDINGS OF FACl'
1. That the total proposed accessory space (2182 square feet)
does not exceed "footprint" area of the principal structure (3681 square
feet) .
2. That the total area of accessory space does not exceed 10% of
the minimum lot area for the Zoning District in which it is located which
is R-lA (10% x 40000 square feet = 4000 square feet).
3. That inasmuch as the subject property contains approximately
98,881 square feet, neither the proposed garage nor the gazebo should have
any adverse effect on the site or in the area in which they are located.

4. That the architectural character of the proposed buildings is
considered to be consistent with the principal dwelling.

Use Permit as set forth hereinabove be and hereby is granted.
