RESOLurICN ID. 118-87 RESOLurICN AOCEPTING BID FOR '!HE ELEVATED WATER STORAGE TANK FOR saJIHEAST AREA 'IRUNK WATER SUPPLY AND STORAGE FACILI'lY WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Project No. 86-10, the elevated water storage tank for the improvement designated as the Southeast Area Trunk Water Supply and Storage Faci I i ty, bids were received, opened on August 31, 1987, and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: 031 Na-Con, Inc. $ 463,100.00 $ 530,000.00 $ 502,857.00 Hydrostorage Phoenix Fabricators & Erectors WHEREAS, the City Council has detennined that the bid of OBI Na-Con, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with the specifications. N:lV, lHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood, Minnesota, that: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with OBI Na-Con, Inc., in the name of the City of Shorewood for Project No. 86-10, the elevated water storage tank for the Southeast Area Trunk Water Supply and Storage Facility, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
