RESOLUTIm APPROVING PLANS .AND SPECIFICATImS FOR
lAKE VIRGINIA LIFI' STATIm .AND FORCE MAINS
WHEREAS, on March 9, 1987, the City of Shorewood by its
Resolution No. 23-87, approved a Conditional Use Permit and Variance for
the Metropol it an Waste Control Comni ssion (lVIV<X:), for the purpose of
expanding its lift station at 6198 Lake Virginia ~ive; and
WHEREAS, such Conditional Use Permit and Variance contained
various conditions pertaining to the construction of the lift station and
force main; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for such lift station and
force main have since been submitted to the City Engineer for review.
rov, 'lHEREFOP-E, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci ty Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
That the City hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Lake
Virginia lift station and force mains as submitted by ~~, subject to the
following recorrrnendat ions of the Ci ty Engineer:
1. Lift Stat ion
a) No reference is made to any erosion or sediment control
measures to prevent materials from reaching Lake Virginia.
This must be addressed.
b) The site plan appears to have been modified to meet the
City's landscaping wishes. Please ch~ck thp. l'mclnsed
photocopy to verify this.
c) The noise and odor control requirements of the
Conditional Use Permit will be addressed directly by the MWOC
and are not addressed in the plans and specifications.
2. Force Main
a) One or more substantial trees will be removed or harmed
to some extent on the R. T. Bowlen property (north side of
Town Road - Property LV-3; Plan Sheet 7). Proper
notification and easements are required for any work on
private property.

b) The West 62nd Street north half right-of-way is owned by
the City of Shorewood. The south half right-of-way is not
owned by the City of Victoria, but by private owners. The
City of Shorewood will pay for their half of the proposed
upgrade in the street section, but only if the City of
Victoria or others will pay for the Victoria half.
Shorewood will not be liable for the upgrading of the full
right-of-way width for West 62nd Street. If the City of
Victoria or others do not have sufficient funds to pay for
the upgrade on their half, the City of Shorewood requests
that the street be replaced as is.
c) ~iveways and services shall be repaired as necessary
solely by the projects contractor and will be paid for out of
project funds.
