A RESOLurICN ESTABLISHING A SPEED LIMIT CN TIMBER LANE
A STRElIT IN '!HE CI'IY OF SH.IffiWXD
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Shorewood
City Council by residents of Timber Lane that a special hazard exists due
to the configuration of the street; and
WHEREAS, the existing speed limit on Timber Lane is 30 mph; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has conducted
an engineering and traffic investigation to determine the reasonable and
safe speed on such street; and
WHEREAS, as a result of such engineering and traffic
investigation, the COmmissioner of Transportation has authorized a speed
limit of 20 mph on such street.
IDV, lHEREFrnE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood, Minnesota:
1. That the Ci ty Council of the Ci ty of Shorewood hereby
establishes a speed limit of 20 mph on Timber Lane between its
intersection with County State Aid Highway 19 and the Northwest terminus
of Timber Lane.
2. That the Public Works Department is hereby directed to erect
appropriate signs on said Timber Lane, designating the speed limit thereon
to be 20 mph.
3. That the new speed I imi t on Timber Lane shall beca:ne
effective at the time of erection of said appropriate signs.
