RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE DEEP WELL PORTION OF
SOUTHEAST AREA TRUNK WATER SUPPLY AND STORAGE FACILITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement'for bids for
Project No. 86-1B,the deep well portion of t,h-e improvement
designated as the Southeast Area Trunk Water Supply and Storage
Facility, bids were received, opened on July 18, 1986, and
tabulated according to law as follows:

$ 108,830.00
$ 110,875.00
$ 146,750.00
$ 78,794.00

Keys Well Drilling Co.
Bergerson-Caswell
Layne Western Co., Inc.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the bid
of Layne Western Co., Inc., does not comply with the
specifications or equivalent thereof; and
WHEREAS, it appears that E. H. Renner & Sons, Inc., is
the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with the
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Shorewood, Minnesota, that:
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into the attached contract with E. H. Renner &
Sons, Inc., in the name of the City of Shorewood for Project No.
86-1B, the deep well portion of the Southeast Area Trunk Water
Supply and Storage Facility, according to the plans and
specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file
in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their
bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
