RESOLUTION NO. 29-86
WHEREAS, InterStudy, Inc., a Minnesota nonprofit
corporation, and Robert W. Fayfield have applied for certain
improvements on real property in the City of Shorewood, Hennepin
County, Minnesota, described as follows:
(See Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof)
WHEREAS, said property is located in an area zoned as
R-IA and the construction of such improvements do not comply
with the requirements of the Shorewood Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the applicants have agreed to donate this
property to the City for purposes of a public park to provide a
public access to Christmas Lake; and
WHEREAS, the applicants have agreed to provide the City
with a roadway easement and right-of-way for ingress and egress
to said public access site; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Planning
Commission on April 1, 1986, for which notice was duly published
and adjacent property owners were notified; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that it is in the
public interest that such improvements be constructed on the
subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Shorewood that applicants be granted variances from
the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance as follows:
