RESOLUTION NO. 77-85
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Shorewood held a
public hearing on the 17th day of September, 1985, to hear
a request from the Christmas Lake Association for a Condit~
ional Use Permit for a proposed lake access at 5695 Merry Lane
on Christmas Lake, Shorewood, Minnesota, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did table the request for the
conditional use permit for a period of time not to exceed
60 days, and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Shorewood Planning Commission endorses
the concept of a donated public boat launch owned by the City,
located on Christmas Lake, adjacent to Merry Lane (with parking
for up to 3 cars with trailers and up to 10 cars without
trailers) subject, however~ to approval of the road access
and site design, with evidence of an attempt to gain DNR
support for the proposal and with the understanding that there
will be an additional public hearing, prior to which surround-
ing land owners will be notified, and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Shorewood, Hennepin County, State of Minnesota does support
. the position of the Planning Commission as stated herein.
