85-013 . . . . RESOLUTION NO. 13-85 WHEREAS the Minnetonka High School is the school that is utilized by the most students living in the City of Shorewood; and WHEREAS the hockey team from the Minnetonka High School went to the State Hockey Tournament in 1985; and WHEREAS Hockey Coach John Erickson and the twenty man team provided their fans and the general public with two of the most thrilling and exciting games played during the tournament; and WHEREAS they presented themselves well and exemplified that teamwork and basic good conduct in hockey will be acknowledged by being presented with the Sportsman Award by the State Hockey Association; and WHEREAS their tenacity was proven by their outstanding playing during the two overtime periods played during the Ribbing game and the four overtime periods played with Bloomington Jefferson: NOW LET IT BE KNOWN that the City of Shorewood is proud of the fine young men and Coach John Erickson, and that the City Council wishes them well in all their endeavers.......We are proud to have Minnetonka High School as the High School that most students from Shorewood attend.
