RESOLUTION NO. 9-85

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN CONVEYANCE AND
EXTINGUISHMENT OF RIGHT OF ACCESS DOCUMENT AND REQUESTING ACCESS OPENING IN
NEW LOCATION FOR FREEMAN PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood owns certain lands adjacent to State Trunk Highway
No. 7 known as Freeman Park, and
WHEREAS, the City has become aware that its present access onto S.T.H. No.7
does not coincide with its legal access opening, and
WHEREAS, the City is desirious of correcting the access problem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood as
follows:
1. That the City Council directs the Mayor and City Administrator to sign and
transmit the Conveyance and Extinguishment of Right of Access document to
. the Minnesota Department of Transportation closing access to Freeman Park.
2. Request that a Quit Claim Deed in favor of the City of Shorewood be executed
by the Minnesota Department of Transportation granting access onto State
Trunk Highway No. 7 at its present location described by MN/DOT File No.
S.P. 2701 (7=119) 901, Parcel lB.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood this 11th day of February,
1985.
