84-063A . . . ~ EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice of a Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Shorewood, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held on the 10th day of September, 1984, at 7 o'clock a.m. at the Minnewashta Elementary School. The following members were present: Mayor Robert Rascop, Jan Haugen, Tad Shaw, Bob Gagne, and Kristi Stover. The following members were absent: none. Councilperson Shaw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution No. 63-~ A Resolution Ordering the Improvement and Preparation of the Plans WHEREAS, Petition has been received by all the owners of the land to be specially assessed for the following described improvement for sanitary sewer, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutters, black top streets, and necessary grading for establishment of street right-of-ways for Phase 1 of the Waterford Project; and WHEREAS, all of the owners of said property abutting thereon and subject to assessment have petitioned the council to assess the entire cost against their property; and WHEREAS, under Minnesota Statutes Annotated, Chapter 429.031, the Council has the power to order the improvement without a public hearing; and WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed said Petition and the feasibility of the project with the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood: 1. That such improvements as set out above for the area as indicated are hereby ordered as proposed in the feasibility report at an estimated cost of $1,056,050. 2. That the City engineer, Orr-Schelen-Mayeron, is hereby directed to prepare plans and specifications for making such improvements. 3. That the total cost of said improvements shall be assessed directly and entirely upon the signers of the attached petition. . . . The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilperson Gagne, and upon motion being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: whereupon the resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
