'Ibe regular meeting of the Shorewood City. Council was called to order by Mayor
Baird on tblday, july 27, 1981, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers.

The meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance am prayer.

SET ADDITIONAL COUNCIL MEE:I'ING FOR JULY 27,. 1981:
Council decided to set another meeting imnediate1y following the regular Council
meeting to decide on the appointment of the new City Administrator.
AOOPI'ION OF ''NO U-'IURN" SIGN: RESOUJI'ION w. 27-81
A request had come before the Council previously to adopt a resolution to place
''No U-Turn" signs along Mill Street near the intersection of Mill Street and
Christmas Lane to prevent north bound traffic from making U-turns and then
enabling them to turn left onto Christmas Lane. ~ved by Shaw, seconded by
Rascop. ~tion carried unaniroously.
MErRO COUNCIL - CONTRACT AMENJ:I.fENl': RESOUJI'ION NO. 28--81
f.k>ved by Haugen, seconded by Shaw, to request funds from the '1980--81 Local Planning
Assistance Grant and authorize Clem Kennelly to execute the amendment on behalf
of the City Council. ~tion carried una.niroously.
MAYOR'S REPORT: '.
=Mayor Baird reported on an informal meeting with property.owner Horace Murfin
regarding his property at approximately 19705 State Highway 7. Mr. Murfin inquired
about the current R-1 zoning am proposed zoning and possible uses of this
property. Mayor Baird indicated the Council may consider optional uses to the
R-l zoning.
=A resolution approving an. ane:dnent to 'Hermepin' County Criminal Justice
Council By Laws was presented to the Council. ,'Ibe Council was to request
