DF SHOREWOOD REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, MARCH 9, 1981 PAGE 2 of 5 ,'e APPI<OVAL OF MAHCH 3, 19tH COUNCIL MINUTES: The second paragraph starting with "The question of "To what..." is to be revised as follows: The question of "To what extent does Metro Council really have over us?" was asked. During discussion, Haugen stated that if a Plan is not submitted by the City, Metro Council has the power to issue one of their own liking for us. If we submit a Plan that is not acceptable, they then have to send it back to us, and we have to continue revis- ing the Plan until it is acceptable to them. If we do not reach that point, THEN they can require that we accept one of their own Plans for us. According to Planner Nielsen, Metro Council has the authority to do so because of the Mandatory Land Planning Act which was passed by the State Legislature. Shaw moved, Haugen seconded, that the March 3, 1981 minutes be approved as corrected. Motion carried unanimously. e CABLE TV - VICTORIA LONG PRESENTATION: Victoria L.
