CITY OF SHOREWOOD
RESOLUTION NO. 94 - ~
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE AWARDING OF CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACTS FOR MULTIPLE DRY HYDRANT FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood does provide f ire protection
services for residents and property owners throughout the community; and,
WHEREAS, the areas within the City of Shorewood commonly referred
to as Enchanted Island and Shady Island are not provided with municipal or
community well systems for fire protection; and,
WHEREAS, residents of Enchanted Island and Shady Island have
requested the Shorewood City Council to consider the installation and
operation of several dry hydrant fire protection systems; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood has considered the construction of
three separate projects to construct dry hydrant fire protection systems
for the property owners and residents of Enchanted Islands and Shady
Island, said projects identified as Public Improvement Projects 94-1, 94-2
and 94-3; and,
WHEREAS, contractors and suppliers have submitted bid proposals
for the construction of dry hydrant fire protection systems as identified
.above.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Shorewood does hereby direct the city Administrator to prepare and award
construction contracts to the low bidders of Ritter Construction and
Northern Supply for the following projects in the following amounts:
Improvement Project 94-1
(Shady Island Bridge)
$20,959.66
Improvement Project 94-2
(Enchanted Drive)
$13,039.67
Improvement Project 94-3
(Enchanted Point)
$11,831. 06
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Shorewood this 28th
day of February, 1994.
