A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING
SERVICES FOR THE REHABILITATION OF LIFT STATIONS 9 AND 10
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed Orr-Schelen-Mayeron and
Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, to complete the plans and
specifications for the rehabilitation of Lift stations 9 and 10;
and
WHEREAS, such work is to be completed on an hourly basis, not
to exceed $15,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the design agreement
(attached) for said services is hereby approved and authorized to
be executed by the City Administrator.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, of the City of Shorewood,

DESIGN AGREEMENT'
This Agreement is entered into between the City of Shorewood and Orr-Schelen-Mayeron
& Associates, Inc. (OSM), pursuant to the terms and conditions stated below.
Project No: 93-2
Project Description: Rehabilitation of Lift Stations 9 and 10.
Scope of Services: As defined under Article 2.1.2. "Basic Services" with the following
modifications:
A. The feasibility report stage activities are deleted.
B. A maximum of 40 hours of construction observation and 10 hours of Contract
Administration are included in the estimated cost.
Schedule: Plans and specifications will be ready for advertising by March 23, 1993.
Construction during the 1993 construction season.
Compensation: Hourly basis with a maximum of $15,000.00.
Deliverables: Drawings consisting of lift station modifications. Specifications consisting of
the technical sections for the modifications.

HEMORANDOH OJ' UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OJ' SHOREWOOD AND J'IRMS ENTERING
CONSULTING AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY
The City of Shorewood functions in a competitive environment when
selecting firms to provide consulting services (Vendors). The
Vendor below understands that the amount of compensation ultimately
paid to the consulting firm will not be more than agreed to in
writing before work begins.
Should the scope of services needed significantly expand' at the
request of the City, the Vendor may approach the City, before the
additional work is begun, to request in writing additional
compensation for added services by addendum to the Agreement for
Services. It is understood that no compensation in excess of the
original base amount set forth in the Agreement for Services shall
be paid without prior written approval of the city.
If this procedure is not followed, the City will pay no additional
fees or costs than those set forth in e Agreement for Services.

"Significantly expand" means additional, different
services that had not been anticipated or the Ci ty
expanding project boundaries or size by over 20%. It
does not mean project costs coming in higher than early
estimates.
