RESOLUTION NO. 34 -92
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for the construction of
the Public Works facility, bids were received, opened on April 8,
1992, and tabulated according to law, and such tabulation is
attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit Ai and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Rochon
Corooration is the lowest responsible bidder in compliance with
the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city
of Shorewood as follows:
1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Rochon Corooration in the
name of the City of Shorewood, for construction of a Public Works
facility, according to the plans and specifications approved by the
city Council on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. That the city Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders and the deposits made with their
bids, except for the deposits of the successful bidder and next
lowest bidder, which shall be retained until a contract has been
signed.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 13th

Dear Mayor Brancel and Council Members:
Eos is very pleased to inform you of a most successful bid opening yesterday
for the above referenced project. Clearly, the current market conditions favor
the Owner. We attach hereto a copy of the bid results as compiled by your
staff.
Also attached is the revised budget for your review. Please note that the
"remaining available funds" estimate exceeds $60,000 as compared to a deficit
of $26,000 indicated in our March 4, 1992 correspondence.
In addition, we have interviewed the apparent low bidder in person at City
Hall, and later by telephone and have been assured that they are comfortable
with their bid and are anxious to begin work.
In the light of the above, we consider the bidder to be responsive and
responsible, and therefore recommend the Council award the project to:
